Ángel Sánchez-Cantalejo and Vicente Tomás

Son Quint 21 is the work of Ángel Sánchez-Cantalejo and Vicente Tomás, two architects with an exquisite reputation. Joined together at SCT Estudio de Arquitectura, they have conceived such prestigious projects as the seat of the Official Lawyers’ Association of the Balearic Islands, the Son Espanyol Auditorium, the General Library of the University of the Balearic Islands and Palma’s Es Baluard Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, all of them in Mallorca.

Outside the island, their skill has been acknowledged in several tenders, such as the Mühleholz II University Centre in Liechtenstein, the Plaza de la Pau in Ciutadella, Menorca and the Arco Collection Modern Art Centre in Madrid. Ángel Sánchez-Cantalejo and Vicente Tomás have taken part in two exhibitions in Palma and Barcelona, and their works have been described in renowned publications, outstanding from among which are several architecture books and magazines published in Spain, Mexico and the United States.

Biographies

Ángel Sánchez-Cantalejo (Palma de Mallorca 1965) and Vicente Tomás (Palma de Mallorca 1968) were both awarded their architecture degrees by the Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña in 1995, and in the same year they went into partnership, establishing STC Estudio de Arquitectura. Vicente Tomas was guest architect at the “Cátedra Blanca” of the Barcelona School of Architecture (2002-2006) and guest architect in the Aargau Nordwestschweiz Technical College in Switzerland (2003-2004, 2005-2006).
